Phantom of the Opera goes West

This year Traverse City West Senior High is putting on the musical Phantom of the Opera, having performances for the next few weekends. I was hoping to go next Saturday with my friend Samantha, which I'm still hoping to do, but Saturday night I was able to go last minute. I got a call from my neighbor and long time friend Lizzie on Saturday night telling me she and her mom were going to Phantom that night and had an extra ticket, wondering if I would like to go. Of course I said yes, jumping for the chance to see what the guys and gals at West had to offer this year. In years past I've always been blown away at the talent that hits the stage this time of year. For many years now I have known most of the cast, them being my brothers friends, or my own friends, or younger acquaintances from school. This year I hardly knew anyone! I felt so old going back to the high school, like it's been longer than almost 3 years now.

Anyway, all i can say is WOW! The cast did an amazing job and the voices were simply incredible. Everyone really worked hard to make this one of the best musicals West has done. And whoever put together the sets was a genius.....it was incredible. My one and only complaint...the incredibly bright/blinding lights on stage at the beginning, they should have put something in front of them to tone them down a little bit. Other than that Congratulations to the whole cast and everyone go out and buy yourself some tickets.

Granted I would have probably liked it better if sexy Gerard Butler were to reprise his role as Phantom.

Which by the way......I was always team Phantom. Raoul is a dumb, and he can't even save Christine without getting himself trapped by the Phantom (lame), not to mention that he can't write music at all (talentless I tell you!) Plus the Phantom's got that whole mysterious thing working for him. I would totally follow him into the mirror.

Relaxing At Home

Wednesday, I came back to Traverse City with my parents for the start of my Spring Break. Surprisingly TC had less snow when I got here than Kalamazoo did.....it was nice to get out of that winter craziness (why can't it be spring already?) As usual there has been lots of sleeping in late, staying in my pajamas all day long, hardly leaving the house, and snuggling on my couch watching Doctor Who......it's good to be home!

Besides all of the above I did make it out on Saturday morning for some yoga at the Dance Center. It was nice and gentle, the perfect type for the way I felt that day, plus I got to see a bunch of my fake family I never get to see anymore. I miss dance/the dance center/and all the people there SO MUCH! I hate that I don't dance anymore and that I can't see everyone like I used to, but we all change and change is a part of life. It's good to be able to go back and pop my head in every once in a while.

Another note......I hope everyone has gotten a taste of the new Adele album, 21, because the woman's got SOUL and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone! When you find amazing music you just got to spread the love. I haven't been able to stop listening to the album since I started listening to it.
my favorite song would have to be Someone Like You

Also on the agenda for home was a new laptop :( Sadly, last week my laptop broke, and when I mean broke, I mean practically ripped in half! I had a crack in the back by the right hinge that I noticed a few weeks ago, but had not caused much problems, so I was just cautious when opening and closing my computer and prayed it would be fine. My computer has caused a few problems in the past, power cord gone bad, fan problems, overheating, virus infection, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. When I got back from yoga last Tuesday night, I opened my computer as usual and the right hinge stayed down causing the whole thing to break off from the screen and the front bottom protection to peel back from the screen as well!!!! It was all so fast I couldn't believe my eyes, horrified I called my mom freaking out because I had a paper I had to get done for the next day. She calmed me down and told me to worry about it when I came home (clearly neither of my parents understood the magnitude of the damage, which was clear from their reaction when they came to pick me up). I was lucky the screen didn't completely quit on me.

Here's some pictures.....would you like to come look at the damage with me sir (dane cook style)

stupid gateway! (the best buy guy legitimately told me it broke because it was a Gateway hahahahha)

lets take a closer look shall we....

please forgive the dirt/dust :)

So yeah, there's no real hope for my old laptop and I had to break down to the notion of getting a new one. On any other basis I would have just waited and used the school computers in times of need, but I am currently enrolled in an online class, so that is a little more difficult. I want an apple this time because I think they're worth the money...we'll see what happens.

Saturday Adventure

After our late night on Friday, Sam and I woke up just before noon on Saturday. I had promised Sam we would run together, or should I say I reluctantly agreed to drag myself around campus while secretly hating my decision to invite her for the weekend (just kidding.....or not). We ate a small breakfast in my room and got ready to go out. Luckily the weather was just right for a day outside....not too warm, not too cold, not really windy, and the sun was out. I was wearing my long running pants and my turkey trot long sleeve shirt.

We ran around campus maneuvering the hills and buildings for just over 3 miles. The concept goes, we run....until I give up, then Sam gets mad at me and tells me I HAVE to start running again......and then the whole system starts over again (but really she's a good motivator). At one point my shoulder, that had been lose and hurting all last week, must have popped back into the socket or something of that sort, because I felt the sharpest pain in my arm mid stride and had to stop and crumple over......until I realized it actually felt better afterward. There was a lot of walking that happened during this "run" as well, so really I don't know if you could even call it a run to be exact.

After some nice showers we dropped in for a visit to Panera Bread for some whole grain bagels (love), coffee and much needed study time. Half way through study time I got bored and took a break to read more of "We the Living"......I've been working on this book for almost a whole year now (but I FINALLY found the time to finish it!)

Around 6 Sam and I met up with Claire, who we both know from high school and who also goes to WMU, and we went out for dinner. Sam is a vegetarian and so we were looking for something special to Kalamazoo but would have options for all of us. I was also in the mood for some good sweet potato fries, so Claire mentioned a restaurant called Crows Nest. Crows Nest was a small second floor cozy restaurant which offers lots of tofu and Claire insisted they had great breakfast as well. I tried the Down and Around wrap which included cucumbers, marinated tofu, romaine, havarti, and pesto on a wheat wrap with a side of sweet potato fries (of course). YUM!! It was delicious and I can't wait to go back there again! Everything on the menu looked amazing and we all took forever to decide what we wanted.

Sunday morning was followed up by another decision to eat out.....seeing as I haven't ever had IHOP either, we decided to go there. My breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and chocolate chip pancakes (and no I did not finish everything on my plate because that sounds like way more when I actually think back on it). I love breakfast foods, it's my favorite meal of the day and can never be skipped.

Do you have a favorite meal of the day?

Now I'm off to get this home work finished so I don't have to worry about school after Thursday. I just can't wait for spring break......especially now that it's just icy/snowy nastiness outside.

Guess Who Came for the Weekend?

Samantha!

My best friend came to visit me in Kalamazoo this weekend :) It was a fun girls weekend with some exploring in this town I have hardly been able to venture around in.

On Friday I was busy.... washing dishes, putting away clothes, and doing laundry. I called my Aunt Julie to see if she would let me come over. I was in desperate need of some clean towels. Sam arrived in town around 6 and we spent some time catching up before trying to decide where to go for dinner. Most of the time deciding where to eat is the hardest thing for us to do. Most of our conversations go like this.......

"So what do you want to eat?"
"I don't know"
"Where do you want to go?"
"I don't know"
"Is there anything special you want?"
"Not really"......

And it just continues that way for quite some time, until we both give up and just pick a random place. We're so good at making decisions ;)

Sam urged me to try Jimmy Johns. I know, I've been in college for 3 years now and still have not tried Jimmy Johns, people act like I'm a crazy person every time someone new finds out. I just don't see what the big idea is, not that the sandwich wasn't delicious, but it wasn't like my world suddenly gotten better now that Jimmy Johns joined my life. I ordered a number 13: The Gourmet Veggie Club which included  double provolone, real avocado spread, sliced cucumber, alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, tomato, & mayo (but I got it minus the mayo). We then proceeded to search around for a Redbox with You Again in it, because the Bernhard Center one was out of the movie and none of the other options looked good, but that was a total fail. Each one we stopped at kept getting worse and worse, with continuously less options.
So we went for frozen yogurt instead! I was looking for frozen yogurt places the other day on Urbanspoon.com and came across a place named White Velvet. YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM! They didn't have a whole lot of variety, but it tasted so refreshing and good.

We rounded out Friday night with some girl talk late into the AM (like 4:45 am to be exact) while I snacked on my favorite Dove dark chocolate and Dirty Dancing played on the TV in the background. Overall it was a good adventurous day.

Just Keep Running

After a lot of hemming and hawing I finally decided I had to go to the gym tonight. I was feeling frustrated, sore, tired, and 500 different thoughts were running through my head. I needed to calm myself, give myself a few extra endorphins. I can hardly lift my arms from yoga last night. Yikes!

When I got to the gym, it was busy, but not as crowded as it has been lately.... I actually had room to run and there were machines open (crazy pants). I miss the quiet gym of fall semester :(

My shins started to slowly ache half way through my first mile and I was worried when I stopped to walk and stretch them out and I noticed a slight limp going on. I made it through two miles of running/walking....barely.  One major goal I'm setting for myself (seeing as it's already half way through February and I'm running the 10K at the end of May) is to run at least 3 times a week. Steady 1-3-2 method to start me out. I don't remember what blog I read it on exactly, but I heard building up your miles this way prevents your muscles from getting used to the distance. You start out with one mile one day, 3 the next time you run, and two miles the third day. After that you work up each by a half mile every time.

Time for the mile breakdown-

Mile 1:

  • Lap 1-4 = Run
  • Lap 5 = Walk
  • Lap 6 = Run
  • Lap 7 = Walk
  • Lap 8-9 = Run
At this point ! took a nice little water/stretch break

Mile 2:
  • Lap 1 = Walk
  • Lap 2 = Run
  • Lap 3 = Walk
  • Lap 4 = Run
  • Lap 5 = Walk
  • Lap 6 = Run
  • Lap 7 = Walk
  • Lap 8 = Run
  • Lap 9 = Walk
Walk Laps Total = 7
Run Laps Total = 10

It's a start.

On a side note, it was almost 50 degrees here today! Sunny, warm and so nice. I love that the snow is melting and I'm hoping it won't go below 30 degrees again.

Tuesday Night Yoga

Last semester's Sunday Night Zumba has officially been replaced with Tuesday Night Yoga. I'm still gonna try to go to Zumba sometime in the near future (I miss it!), but yoga is a nice substitute. Bri, the instructor, teaches a vinyasa style yoga which makes it easily adaptable for people of all levels of yoga training and experience.

There's something so relaxing yet challenging about practicing yoga. I really pushed myself and came back from class totally exhausted....I see sore muscles tomorrow. I love the stretch I get from class and being able to make the moves form to what my body is telling me. I feel so much more centered and at peace with myself.

ZEN SARAH! (or, well, I wish this was actually a picture of me)

I wrote an article about breathing a while ago, discussing the benefits of concentration on your breathing during workouts. Yoga is based all around different types of breathes and the timing of inhalations and exhalations. I find it important to listen closely to my instructor so I get the most benefits from my stretches and flows.

I also love the fact that the instructor really seems to mix up the flows. Last week we went through the full warrior positions and this week we concentrated on other parts of the body. I love not knowing exactly what is coming next.....it keeps me more focused on the poses and less about what is coming next. Better to live in the now than the future right?

I always feel like I'm in dance again during yoga because many of the moves and stretches are similar to what we used to do during ballet class. The tree pose looks like a passe,

not to mention the dancer pose.

Tonight we went straight from tree to dancer and I was have a particularly hard time balancing myself one after another. I was pretty stable and strong during tree, but my muscles did not appreciate balancing on one foot for that long....sad! This ex-dancer has lost all her dancer power :( Next time I will get this. Last week I was struggling with the tree, it was just not happening....so this week I told myself "you can do this, breathe, spread your roots into the ground" and it seemed to work. I remember my old dance teacher, Grace, explained to us one time about sending roots into the earth through our feet in order to really ground yourself into the floor. She explained that if you can ground your feet while also pulling up from the top of your head, balance will come with ease.......and guess what, it works!

There is one pose I'm still a little nervous to try.....

(as the big strong guy next to me was clearly finding this difficult, I got a little concerned with my own ability to pull it off). I usually just wimp out and put my knee down as a stabilizer, one step at a time right?

I just love trying new poses and challenging my body, it's my way of making me feel good.

Quote of the Day

Yesterday I talked about memorizing one quote/saying/poem/whatever each day to help with my memory.

Today's quote comes from the amazing mind of Dr. Seuss.

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind"

Coming Across Something Great

Today I came across this article, called 50 Life Secrets and Tips. I loved all the recommendations so much, I figured I'd pass it on so others could benefit from it as well.

Lets start off with number one- Memorize something everyday. I really liked this idea and searched around for a bit to find something I wanted to memorize. That's when I found this.....

people talk about
(source)

and figured it'd be a good start.

Have you taken the time to memorize anything today?

10 things....part 4

10 websites to waist your time on.....

Bored? Looking for some good websites to browse through in your down time? Here's a few that I like to use...

Lets start with the basics.

  1. Facebook: You knew this would be on here. Most people have an account, mostly used for stalking people you never talk to, or hardly know but mutually decide you're friends in some sort of way. Or consider all the games you can play here.
  2. Free Rice: Learn new words, and help feed the hungry!
  3. Stumbleupon: You start....and you just can't stop! This website has kept me up into the wee hours of the night, procrastinating like it's my career.
  4. Texts from last night: The website started by students from MSU, allows people around the world to share their "unfortunate" texts from the night before. You'll be laugh, you'll be disgusted, you'll feel sorry for whoever's life lead them to this, but in the end it's all worth reading.
  5. Flickchart: My new addiction! Me being the lover of movies that I am, was recommended to this site by my cousin and wasted too many hours today choosing which movies I liked best. The website has you compare two different movies and you select which one you like best. If you haven't seen a certain movie, or either of the ones they provide, you just click the "haven't seen it" buttons and it will bring up another move to compare. The website uses all of your answers to rank each movie.
  6. Makes Me Think: People can add certain stories or situations that "made them think." Some of them are sad, some are funny, some are heartwarming. You never know what you're gonna get from this site.
  7. Fmylife: I used to read this a lot....but then it got boring. It is a good way to make you appreciate your life. There are plenty of other people going through just as annoying/terrible or even worse situations than you are.
  8. Tastespotting: If you love to cook, bake, or just love food itself, this website is a great way to find recipes. Bloggers use this to share pictures and recipes of the day, and I love looking through to find unusual meals or helpful basics.
  9. Sporcle: A website full of quizzes. Test your knowledge on everything from geography to movie quotes. You'll be amazed at what you know, or don't know.
  10. Awkward Family Photos: Browse through the plethora of family photos that probably should have been avoided....but luckily for your humor were shared.

Stupid Foot

I had all good intentions to get my lazy butt to the gym today.....but then i woke up, and my foot was throbbing. I'm taking that as a sign something is wrong and I should probably lay off it for a day?

I don't know what could have happened. Bug bite? Slept on it wrong? Stress fracture? I'm really hoping it's the middle option because I don't want it to be either of the other two. Maybe I'll try some sit and be fit options where i don't have to use my feet. The pain is on the bottom of my right foot, under my baby toe. It hurts to walk on and to touch :( I just hope it goes away soon!

......I guess if it doesn't get better, I go home in 2 weeks and can get it looked at then. I'm so surprised at how fast this semester has gone. We're almost already half way through....which means that I really need to get over to the counselor's office and discuss my major/minor details and figure out my life. Is it just me or is it like once you hit college you automatically hit a stage of indecisiveness. I feel like everything in my life is a question right now. Someone please assure me that this stage ends eventually.

Sweatin Up in Here

They really need to learn to better regulate the heat in our building, you would think they'd try to save money and never have it up that high....but no. A few weeks ago it was PERFECT in my room, it had moved past the sauna stage and on to something not too cold, but not hot either. It was during that time that I could comfortably sleep at night, I wasn't worried about the cream in the center of my oreo's getting too soft, and didn't mind exercising in my room without the window open. Now on the other hand, the heat is blaring again and everything has been falling apart (okay, that might be an exaggeration, but it is hot!)

I was also contemplating the 16 year old Sarah who LOVED to workout, what happened to her? Where did that person go because she certainly is not her now. I used to be the girl who would work out in her spare time.....everyday before school, dance most afternoons, follow along to programs on the Fitness Channel, and just an all around active person (you could call me the female Matthew McConaughey). Now it takes quite a bit of motivation to get myself to the gym, to pop in a workout DVD, or go out for a bike ride (granted it's winter and I'm not going to bike in this weather regardless, but still). I wish I had the same physical drive as I had back then.

Me at 16 in my size 0 dress at my cousin's wedding.....metabolism please come back!!!

I can't help but wonder, is this really the result of gaining this extra weight? The more weight you gain, less energy you have, and thus the less motivation to do anything....making this battle with weight a never ending cycle?

I wish I wasn't one of those people that ate when she was bored, or sad, or hormonal, but a girl who ran when she was bored, biked when she was sad, or drank a fat free organic smoothie when she was hormonal (?). Most of all, I just want to be able to be comfortable when I hit the beach this summer in a two piece bikini.... I don't want to become a one piece wearer, those swim suits are boring and kind of expensive :(

for instance:

This bathing suit from Victoria's Secrets....probably the only cute one piece I would even think about buying (hello old style glamor), but it cost $167! Not worth it to me.

So many cute new suits this year.....I just want to go shopping!

On the plus side I did do another round of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I think it's time to move on to level two, my body needs a good shake up. Also, yoga tonight with Corie at 6:30! Can't wait. It'll be my first yoga class at the rec center, and Corie's first yoga class EVER. Hopefully it keeps both of us coming back for more.

The Best Part of Last Night's Glee

Watch the best part of last nights episode of Glee that aired after the Super Bowl.
Darren Criss is my teenage dream!!!

Late Night Run

I feel like I always end up running so late at night.....okay, like 8 or 9 o'clock (so not too late). I would probably be one of those people in the gym at like 3 am if it were open. I was surprised at how busy the track was. It seems like lately the whole rec center has been jam packed with people, I'm glad they're all staying true to their New Years Resolutions, but I hope they clear out soon. I miss the feel of the open gym, being able to have the track all to myself and not have to weave in and out of everyone (although I guess it's good practice for races). I'm determined to start running on a more regular basis, seeing as the once a week run isn't helping me all that much. My pace almost feels like it's slowing down, which is weird, but I do think the pace of my walking breaks have increased :) I definitely wasn't feeling in the groove tonight so I stuck with 2 and a half mile run/walk.

So here's the mile breakdown:

Mile 1:

  • lap 1-2 = walk
  • lap 3-6 = run
  • lap 7 = walk
  • lap 8 = run
  • lap 9 = walk
Mile 2:
  • lap 1 = run
  • lap 2 = walk
  • lap 3 = run
  • lap 4 = walk
  • lap 5-6 = run
  • lap 7 = walk
  • lap 8 = run
  • lap 9 = walk
Mile 3:
  • lap 1 = walk
  • lap 2 = run
  • lap 3-4 = walk
Follow every thing up with some crunches and stretching....and we're good to go!

Now back to watch Pretty Little Liars at 10 (and Gossip Girl but I have no clue what is going on because I'm not caught up on any recent episodes). Someday I'll have time again to catch up on Grey's, Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory......I clearly watch way too many TV shows (please don't judge me).

Another Reminder

Today is just another reminder that life is short.

Live for today, do what you love, say what you mean, breathe, because no one knows for sure whether tomorrow will come.

Football, Food, and Homework

So I got back to school and realized I had to do all that homework I've been putting off. (Oh yeah, that was the problem with going home, I forget about school and get nothing done...woops.)

Beyond the mountains of homework, reading, studying, writing online discussion responses (500 words is a lot longer than it looks), is my urge to say f this and just watch the Super Bowl like I want to. I'm more of a Steeler's fan, but really I just like watching the sport...I'd be ok with whoever won (hope they get to go to Disney World). Plus who wants to miss out on all those commercials everyone will be discussing the day after.

See I have this problem with picking football teams less on their location or actual skill and more on the attractiveness of their quarterbacks.....I'm not afraid to admit this, I'm pretty sure anyone who knows me well is not surprised.

So the Super Bowl was more of a battle of Roethlisberger vs. Rodgers

  vs.

When did Rodger's have that creeper stache? I definitely don't remember that.

This is why my favorite team is the Patriots and if I had it my way, Tom Brady and I would be married.

(I think I've got my ups on Gisele)

One other problem with spending Super Bowl Sunday alone in my room with my piles of homework.....no delicious, mouthwatering snacks set out in front of me to graze on all night long. No mom's chip dip, no wings, no veggie trays, or hummus and pita chips :( Just not the same.

On another hand, is anyone else excited for the special return of glee tonight!?

Home for the Weekend

My mom called me on Thursday and told me about an available ride back to TC that day. When you get the chance, grab it and go, right? I was a little hesitant because I've never met the girl and just got in the car and left....lets just say it was a long and interesting car ride north.

Spring break is coming up in a few weeks and I wouldn't have come home till then if this ride didn't come up so I'm thankful to get a little more home time....or should I say Traverse City time, because I really haven't seen a lot of my family or home. Ever since I woke up Friday morning I feel like I've been on the run, making plans, squeezing in visits with all my favorite people.

I had lunch on Friday with my friend Sandy. We met at our favorite spot, Luigi's, for smoothies, bread nuggets, pizza, and grinders. It's always great hanging out with Sandy and catching up on her life. I miss seeing her everyday!

After lunch, my cousin Ari asked if I would want to meet for coffee after she got out of school.....how could I turn that down? So we went to Espresso Bay for some mochas and boy dishing. Then I was invited for dinner and my cousin Sheana's house (Ari's sister) and got to see some more of that family. Ari and I took on the task of finding a cake for dessert and went on an adventure around town in search of the perfect one. We tried Simply Cupcakes....which would have been good if they hadn't been closed due to the fact that they sold out of cupcakes :(, the Sweet Asylum... but they didn't really carry stuff like that, and Cold Stone....where we ended up getting an ice cream cake (YUM!) Happy Day!

So Friday ended with a nice hot tub soak at Ari's House, and watching the movie Killers with Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher (man is his body gorgeous!)

Saturday then started with a nice chat with my Aunt Deb, who made us a wonderful batch of waffles. Ari and I then decided we'd go see The Roommate, until we got there a little later than expected and made a last minute decision to see Black Swan. It made me miss pointe shoes and tutu's, but glad I never took on a role like that. I thought the movie was very well done and give mega props for the dedication those two women put into training for those roles.

After returning home, my parents and I headed out to see my Grandma, then back into town to go to dinner....at Don's Drive In :) My brother did not disappoint with his shake making and I miss those burgers when I'm in Kzoo. But I didn't spend that much time with the family before I headed over to meet with Samantha for another trip to Espresso Bay and some good time to catch up on each other's lives.

Oh how time flies when you're having fun! I can't believe it's already Sunday and I have to head back to school soon.

What to do on a snowday....

Absolutely nothing!

That's right, yours truly spent the day lounging around, sleeping in, watching TV....and staying in my pajamas (for at least most of the day).

I did happen to do my 30 Day Shred workout, and take a shower (productivity, I know).

I chose to stay inside most of the day, but really it wasn't all that bad out there. I'm pretty sure we would have been fine to have classes....but hey no complaining here. I personally can't believe so many places closed around here, it's Michigan and winter. It was even graciously sunny out today :) I LOVE SUN!

On the other hand I had time to make a list of all the things that need to be done this weekend

  • Grocery shop
  • Laundry
  • Catch up on textbook readings
  • Discussion #2 for my online class
  • Run
If I've learned one thing about college....if you're not a very self motivated person, don't take online classes.

Hope everyone else stayed safe and enjoyed their day off!!

Snowpocalypse

Unless you've fallen off the side of the planet, you'll know that we're getting hit with a huge storm tonight and tomorrow all across the mid west! Personally the thought of two feet of snow doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but all the talk about the weathers got everyone in a panic. I heard Meijers and Walmarts all across the state were packed today with people racing to stock up on goods in case of snowmergencies.

Only on rare occasions do most colleges close down for snow....especially ones where the majority of students live on campus, but all throughout the day school closings came flooding in. On local high school after another until colleges started to join in. I was shocked when Michigan State declared they'd stay closed tomorrow, along with Grand Valley, Central Michigan, and Ferris. Every college surrounding including KVCC and Kalamazoo College declared Wednesday a snow day. I kept checking Western's homepage and begging for a closing (and was close to giving up) until finally it happened!!!

NO CLASSES TOMORROW!!! A SNOW DAY IN COLLEGE! YAY!

I feel like a 5 year old again, giddy and ready to spend all day tomorrow relaxing in my pajamas :) Maybe I'll read a book, or watch some more Dexter. I'm just happy I don't have to study for the exam that was scheduled.

Even Hope College closed!

It really is a blizzard out there...when I was out for dinner, it was blowing everywhere and there must have been at least 2 inches of fresh snow just from two hours!
